Your vehicle releases carbon dioxide every time you drive
The toxic fumes released by cars and trucks can be detrimental to everyone. Carbon monoxide and other gasses contribute to smog formation during hot summer weather. Smog can be especially harmful to babies, seniors, and persons with heart and respiratory problems. It can also affect a healthy person’s ability to perform physical and cognitive tasks.
For each gallon of gas your vehicle burns, it releases 19 pounds of carbon dioxide. A properly functioning emissions system reduces these toxicity levels. That’s why testing is so important. As a Connecticut certified emissions repair center, Roggi’s Auto Service can diagnose and fix your problems so your vehicle runs clean and passes your next emissions test.
Each time your vehicle burns a gallon of gas it emits 19 pounds of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere.
Emissions Systems FAQs
What are the signs of emissions system problems?
- Strong exhaust odor
- Check engine light
- Reduced gas mileage
- Failed state emissions test
What emissions repairs are necessary when your vehicle fails the test?
Can a testing site refuse to test your vehicle?
An emissions testing facility may turn you away if your vehicle shows signs of leaking fluids, missing exhaust system parts, unsafe tires, a noisy engine, or some other visible safety problem. Regular vehicle maintenance and service is the best way to keep that from happening.
